Avonleigh is a domain ruled by Morgoroth in the Shadowlands. Morgoroth exemplifies the concept of an "omnipresent" darklord, existing only as the influence he exerts on his domain (whispers in the wind, unnaturally cold wind) until the mirror shards in which his soul is trapped are reassembled.
The skies over Avonleigh are eternally dark and starless, with only Alyn and Zyla to light them. Darkness is ever present, whether in the spirit-infested Phantasmal Forest or the (seemingly) abandoned Tergeron Manor.[5] An unnatural cold also permeates the domain, that becomes worse, along with the darkness, the closest one gets to Tergeron and, beyond that, the higher one climbs inside it.[6]
The Knights of the Circle, a knightly order founded by Alexi Shadowborn, meets at a circle of standing stones located within this domain.[7]
