The man known as "Hermes" in the domain of Olympus is one of the Living Gods and was formerly one of the Seven Voices of the Gods on the Material Plane.[1] (For general information common to all of the Seven Voices and Living Gods, see their respective Mistipedia articles and the Olympus netbook article in the Undead Sea Scrolls 2002.)

History

As the high priest of Hermes in his homeland on the Material Plane, he oversaw commerce, but he was also the master of the criminal trades such as drug dealing, smuggling, and of course the thieves' guilds. Under his leadership, the clergy under him provided homeland's nobility not only potions, herbs, and the like but also terrible poisons[2].

For a general history common to all of the Seven Voices and the Living Gods, see "Hercules".

Current Sketch

Now recognized as the living incarnation of the god he once presumed to speak for, Hermes commands one of the kingdoms of the domain of Olympus. His citystate, Windydale, sits at the heart of Olympus, where all the major roads and trade routes come together. Two rivers, both equipped with ports, run through Windydale. Consequently, Hermes controls the best coordinated chain of commerce and trade of the false deity monarchs in his domain. In addition, Hermes also controls the biggest associations of spies and thieves. In times of trouble from the other city states, he can break aggressors by crippling their trade and commerce[3].

Hermes is a slender, agile young-looking man of vitality. He is in a constant state of movement, even vibration, reflecting his status of being under a constant Haste effect[4].

Aura[4]

Hermes' aura can create slow effect on those around him.

Gaze[4]

Hermes' gaze attack can cause his enemies to become fatigued.
