John Diamante is a member of the Fraternity of Shadows and a former member of the Umbra. He joined the Umbra's ranks in 704 BC after Azalin Rex slaughtered several of their number. He disappeared in 709 BC, leading to his seat being filled by another.[1]
In the Fate of John Diamante dread possibility, John has become the darklord of Scarebraech, where he tries to preserve esoteric knowledge of arcane magic and other lore in the face of a populace that wishes to see the utter destruction of all mages and everything written. John direly wishes to give the knowledge he's found in Scarebraech to the Fraternity, for he feels it of the utmost importance to their mission of taking over the Land of Mists. However, he has thus far failed completely in this task. Locally in Scarebraech, Diamante is known as the White Harlequin[2]
