Dark Highways
(or Links to other Sites)
The dark highways lie shrouded in mist, criss-crossing the core. But no traveller truely knows where the mists might take them...
Ravenloft Links
Sword & Sorcery Studios - Makers of Ravenloft 3rd & 3.5 Editions.
The Kargatane - Formally the greatest Ravenloft website, and the official Ravenloft website. Unfortunately, on Halloween 2003, the site closed. There's still some useful scraps left over, but for the main - Kargatane R.I.P., there is a void in Ravenloft without you.
The Mordent Cartographic Society - A most excellent Ravenloft fansite with many cannon and non-cannon maps of the various domains, made with Campaign Cartographer 2. I recomend a visit. Excellent content, despite a lack of updates.
Ravenloft: Beyond the Mists - Our gracious hosts and a site chock full of ravenloft goodness (or is that evilness?).
The Misty Portal - An older website run by a very experienced Dungeon Master who seems to have had a hard time from people who don't understand the nature of Ravenloft. Hard to navigate at times, but has excellent content (but it's 2nd Edition).
The Dark Site - An english website for european players, talks about ravenloft experiences, potential to have more home grown material. Nice design.
Fraternity of Shadows - A brand new site that already holds so much promise. Built by refugees from the Kargatane, this mansion of no small horrors is an excellent resource for the connoisseur of Ravenloft.
Midway Haven - An interesting design and logo, but some pages are missing. Its hard to navigate, but there's some good and unique content in there if you can find it.
Ravenloft Messageboard @ WOTC - A community messageboard located on the Wizards of the Coast forums. The place to discuss Ravenloft now The Kargatane have returned to Darkon.
The Lonesome Road - Site filled with original content. Simple interface, works for me. Check it out.
The Dread Realms - David Wood's excellent campaign site for Ravenloft. Mostly related to his own campaign groups, but it has adventure summaries and information on Ravenloft that makes it an indispensible site from which to draw inspiration.
Ravenloft Products on Amazon.com - If you have patience, or if you live in a distant land like me here in Sweden, where Ravenloft is not readily available, this is the cheapest place to purchase your ravenloft, by far! Great deals, I don't know how Amazon can turn a profit!
Dungeons & Dragons/d20 System Links
Wizards of the Coast - Makers of Dungeons & Dragons.
Official Dungeons & Dragons Website - Lots of free material, as well as details on many non-Ravenloft products.
Official d20 System Website - Lots of free material, as well as details on the system refference document and the open gaming license.
PCGen - Difinitive character generation software. Look into it.
Gothic Horror Links
The Literary Gothic - A whole range of online gothic novels, all now in the public domain since their copyrights expired, as well as their authors.
Miscellaneous Roleplaying Links
Roleplaying Tips - An excellent resource with hints for players and DMs alike. Embraces all systems from fantasy to sci-fi.
iG Tools - Av very plain site with some helpful gaming aides. I haven't tried them myself.
The Cave - An eye-pleasing site with some helpful tools, such as a name, village and npc generator.
Unnamed - An very rudimentry website with good gaming aides written by Joseph DuBois.
