It's not in this. Is there another version of the mesmerist?

EDIT - OK, Champions of Darkness, got it. Not a natural source for me ;)

Still missing two:

Implant Spells ?
Shatter Psyche ?

Whoops! I should have specified: the Mesmerist found in Domains of Dread: Pathfinder in the Mists. That has all of them.

Would you mind if I used some of the text from the introduction of this to help explain to my characters the type of characters I want them to create? I found it to be very well written, and it gets across all the points I wanted too.

I can't speak for Ryan specifically, but everything we put up here is for the use of our visitors, in what ever way will improve your games. I can't anyone being against that sort of use....

Well, most of the rules, yes. (not all). But here we're talking about fluff, not rules, and not official PF stuff anyway. But the point is, I'm sure that by releasing it here, Ryan is basically giving you permission to use it in your game as you see fit.

So, I've been using this phenomenal ruleset for over a year, but as my players normally roleplay horror pretty well, I've never needed to use the fear/horror/madness rules until recently. And now that I'm using them a little...I'm wondering if I've missed something? Why do all but the most severe catastrophic horror checks never last for more than one encounter? Whatever happened to having nightmares about something for days, being obsessed with the topic for weeks? Am I reading these rules right?

Hello? Anyone have an idea why the rules are written this way?

IMC the party and several NPC's are about to listen to a recording of a manslaughter, followed by the killer's descent into madness and more murders. They are in a non-combat setting, but I expect people to be horrified; it would give me no end of nightmares in real life if I heard this. I'm considering other rules for this, including temporary wisdom damage varying with how much they listen to, but I'd like some semblance of rules, and the idea that someone would only be horrified for one round by such a situation is nonsensical.
