This thread is to discuss the proposed transference of my Kara's Daughters game to PbP.

First question: how easy it it to hack the dice bot?

Let's see: 1d20+12 gives us [dice]0[/dice]

EDIT: So the first roll was an 18. Now I edit it and...interesting...it's filled in with "0." Now, If I fill it with something else...

And what does "make removeable" mean in the resulting post?

RE-EDIT: Ah ha! Second roll was an 11...wait, it didn't add the +12! Hmmmm....

Preliminary conclusion: the dice bot seems quite easy to hack, but at least you can't use it to hide your number-fudge.

Alright, the gang's all over, and we're hammering out rules. So far we're thinking a post every other day is reasonable. Stay tuned!

Alright, everyone make sure they are subscribed to this thread so they get emails every time someone responds. This forum is our new home between tabletop games, so we can get more participation, not be so rushed in our decisions, and otherwise no longer be at the mercies of that pesky "real life" crap that has been plaguing us! I'll create discussion threads that will summarize the plotline up until that point, and you can take it from there. Discussion threads will all be labeled "Kara's Daughters: (insert subplot here)." This thread is for Out-Of-Character discussion, which is why it has the subtitle "OOC." Please limit your posts in other threads to in-character discussion and actions, so we can keep the feel and flow of the game alive.

Right now we're going to start with two threads: one for the party in the Forest of Shadows, another for the ones who are under Lekar in the Well of Bones. Once I have them created, I'll announce it here. For anyone still struggling to navigate the boards, you'll find these other threads among the list in the Cafe de Nuit (see the directions above left: Board index » Roleplaying Boards » Café de Nuit).

This part of the forum has a dice bot that can be used to generate random rolls. To use it, type the word "dice" in brackets on either side of your proposed roll, with a slash before the second instance, like this: [dice]0[/dice]. See the above post for an example of what it looks like. Yes, I've show there that the rolls can be hacked; I'm trusting all of you until I get some dice bots.

For now, I'd like each of you to try out the dice bot here. Make a couple rolls and let's see how they show up!

ok, so I clicked the box at the top that says "dice" so I didn't have to type in the [dice]and[/dice]. I just entered 1d20 between them. Lets see what it looks like when I submit
