What an insanely cool thread title.

The story, however, is quite sad. Its really a shame the bears' natural food sources are diminishing so much that they're resorting to this. It is also quite sad for the families of the "victims".

I did quite like the line, "from far away he resembled a large man in a fur coat tenderly kneeling over the grave of a loved one"

For me, this story was a strange case of sadness/poignant and pure EPICNESS.

Yeah, that line was pretty chilling. You could imagine a Ravenloft scene starting off like that... and then the "grieving mourner" looks up at the PCs and there is a glimmer of red in its empty sockets...!

... and suddenly, the ghoul is eaten by a bear.

'Cause that's how bears roll.

Then the bear contracts ghoul fever and...what? Starts eating other bears because that's what cannibalism is for bears? Or maybe it was a werebear and we've got a ghoulish one!?

If you can't tell, dozens of cheap horror movies and way too much candy have rotted my brains more than usual. ...And my teeth.

Ghoul bears only eat bear corpses... and also honey, but the honey must come from the hives of Zombees.

After seeing two PCs die by bear hug, one of my players named bears as 'soulless, godless engines of destruction.'

What would fear of bears be? Ursophobia?

Whatever it is, Stephen Colbert also suffers from it.

Well, what's fear of hugging? You could use that instead.

Russian bears (like the grave robbing bears) are scary because they have such evil evil goals.

American bears... well, not so much.

Once again proving that Russian bears are nasty pieces of work.

And Polish bears are not.

A werebear IMO, could become ghoul. A natural bear would propably die from that. However, I think even carrion animals shun the cursed flesh of the undead.

In a more serious note, that's terrible for the families.

A bear lush...well, at least it had good taste in beer.
