Just came back from the Fantasia festival in Montréal and I recommand that you see Black Death (starring Sean Bean) if you can (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Death_(film)). The action is on Earth but could easily be in any medieval Ravenloft domain. The mood is terrific and...

The descent into hell of Osmund is very well done and can be the inspiration for a new Darklord.
Unfortunately, it's yet another movie that doesn't depic the medieval inquisition correctly. There were barely witch hunts during the MA and torture was used as LAST mean.
