Arnulf continues to drink the tea, though he is sad to hear they will be exploring the cave tomorrow. He was looking forward to exploring it today, but now he has to wait longer. The other's asked questions about how did he become the protector of this land.

"Stories are good, the gnomes used to tell me all kinds of stories." said Arnulf also seemingly excited to hear a story.

Dalorna smiles at Arnulf's mention of the gnomes.

"Benefactor" Pings says with a smile ."I'm not their benefactor so much as they have just taken advantage of my want of not being bothered by annoying Bane Priests ."

"And to how I came here, I was traveling with some companions of mine many years ago before most of you were born, excluding the dwarven dame in your party . She was still more than likely a child by dwarven terms still ." Pings pauses to take long long sip of his tea .

Dalorna listens attentively...

Alia listens politely, noting any possible material for ballads

"Did Bane priests plague where you used to live?" asked Arnulf knowing that where he came from there weren't very many worshipers of the vile god bane. No body liked them so they didn't stick around for long.

"No, actually I had never heard of them until I came to this land of Nova Vaasa . "Pings says answering Arnulf's question .

Assuming that he is telling the truth, he must be from someplace pretty far from Cormyr. The Dark Lord and his priests are infamous back home.

Dalorna listens politely as Ping gives out personal information in tiny morsels.

Either his past is painful to discuss or else he just prefers to keep secrets. It doesn't matter which-- we are wasting time. We need to get back to Marsember. Maybe there is a magic door in the old mine. Maybe...

Pings raises an eyebrow at Dalorna skepticism over his statement about the Bane priests .

"Wow I didn't know anyone could not know about them, their some of the meanest people in the world!" Exclaimed Arnulf who was getting bored with no action happening here. He'd never get big and strong at this rate.

Sara looks at Ping a bit surprised.

"How is it possible not have heard of them? Where are you from Master Ping?"

"I'm from the continent of Tian Xia on a world called Golarion . There is no God that I know of called Bane on my world so you can see why I would have never heard of this God until I came to this plane of existence ."Pings says in response to Sara's question .

"I see, I have heard stories about people brought to the Mainland by the mists. It is same thing that happened to the rest of us."

Looking at the rest of the group Sara adds:

"It is getting late and we have a mine to search, so if that is all I think we should thank Master Ping for the hospitality and hit the road."

"Thanks for the tea," says Arnulf probably standing up before any of them and almost half way out the door before waiting for a responce and the rest of the party to "catch up".
