In the alley...


The alley is a narrow passage between the back of the Lorelei and a warehouse across from it. It is split in the middle by a wooden fence- nothing too imposing, Cirdan could easily cut it down or any of you might clamber over it with a little effort.

Each of you takes up his preferred spot- whether in the dark alley, near the front of the building, or elsewhere. All of you are close enough to quickly enter the building if that proves necessary. Alain is well concealed in the deep darkness of the alleyway. As you make your final preparations for action, you all hear a bloodcurdling shriek- a woman in terror, somewhere inside the Lorelei!

inside Marie's room-

Jonathon and Norzak both hear an awful screaming coming from outside the door. It sounds like the screaming of an hysterical girl.

Maries jumps off the bed in alarm. She drops to the floorboards and crawls under the bed with Jon. Pressing up against him, she begins to cry.

Alain reacts by not moving and observing how everybody else responds to the scream .

More screams and shouting issue from within the building.

Jonathan stares at the frightened girl then puts a arm around her to protect her. Wary of Norzak in the wardrobe he does nothing, awaiting the dwarf's signal.

"Shhh Marie. It is alright. You are safe right now. But perhaps you should climb back in bed lest you blow our mission to save you from van dieks."

I also meant everybody not in Lorelei, but everyone around me and the business's around it.

The street remains empty. There is no gathering crowd, nor does anyone venture outisde of the nearby buildings to investigate. Of course, being as there are more warehouses than actual homes in this section of the River Quarter, perhaps that is not so unusual.

Alain is sneaking to a closer spot for spell casting if need be (Med. Rng.),but not giving away his position . So he can step to a spot and cast then fade back into the background/shadows as it were depending on circumstance's as standard SOP.

Marie's room


Jon and Norzak hear a loud, deep-timbered voice cut into the woman's wailing-

''Shut up you whore, or you'll wish you were dead, too.''

There is a sound as of a heavy blow, and a thud like a body hitting the floor. The woman has stopped screaming, now she sobs loudly.

Footsteps can be heard in the hallway.

The doorknob to Marie's room is turning now....

"Quick Marie! If he comes in here and looks under the bed for you I will be caught! If you don't do what I say we won't be able to save you!" Jonathan says in as urgent a hushed voice as he can muster.

Marie climbs out from under the bed. She crawls up onto her matress. Jonathon hears the bed creak ever so slightly as the girl's weight settles in above his hiding spot. He sees the overhanging covers recede- she must be pulling the sheets around herself.

The door opens.

In the doorway stands a man. Jon can see his finely worked boots as he strides across the floor towards the bed.
Thump, Thump..

From within the wardrobe, Norzak is able to spy on the scene by peeking through a crack in the panelling. He gets a glimpse of a tall dark haired man in a stylish doublet and breeches, wearing a poignard at his side. The stranger is approaching Marie's bed when he walks far enough towards the whimpering girl that Norzak cannot see him through the peephole any longer.

At the sounds of the screams, Bennedict walks towards the entrance, his crossbow hidden as well as it can be underneath his long overcoat. No doubt, he barely reaches the entrance before Cirdan bursts inside.

Dorgio hears the screams, then mutters a prayer to Ezra. Along with Benn, he walks into the brothel, hiding his shortspear under his cloak as best he can.

I am a bit unclear on where I am right now.

In the first moment he hears the sound from Marie's room, Cirdan raises his sword... And stays where he is, scanning the area with his sharp elven eyes.

Fool me once, and I have you on my list. Fool me twice, and I have you in my trophy chamber.

Ok. Move Silently and backstab that [no word really can describe him] Van Dieks until he is dead. Don't care if he dies really lol. Sorry bout last night was in bed early

Norzak has his dagger ready and exits his hiding place when the man has his back to him. Sneaking behind him, he stabs him as , cursing at him in dwarfmany times in the back as he can. "Laddie a little help here!"

Hearing Norzak exit his hiding place Jonathan rolls out from under the bed flanking Van Dieks and also sneak attacking. Jonathan matches Norzaks ferocity with the blade, an equal bloodlust in his eyes.
