That's cool. The plan as it stands isn't bad, I think. In fact, we don't need or want a blazing inferno, so several small fires lit with a candle should be good. We'll see how well it works out.

A backup plan is always a good thing to have. Any suggestions, before Skybolt is ready to update?

Turnip will be moving under cover whenever possible- that should protect/hide it from the monkey-men.

Ranged attacks sound like a good back-up plan. Dalorna can throw her stick, but then it will be gone. She has a couple of spells, too- but I'll save those for dire straits. Alia has a crossbow. Sara will be busy rescuing the kids. Do Arnulf, Isidar, and the Prof have missile/thrown weapons? If not, we might look for stones or heavy sticks to throw- although I dunno how many suitable missiles we can find in a hurry. Let's not take too much time- speed, stealth, and surprise are needed for this plan to work.

Any other suggestions, ideas, comments, concerns, etc?

Arnulf has sling I know that much. I don't have his sheet, so I don't know if he has a bow as well.

The Professor does have a dagger in his possession, but again, it is more of a utility to him than a weapon. Anyone who looks at the Professor can plainly see that if he where to throw anything, it would be a cruel but amusing sight.
The Professor himself, if pressed, would prefer to throw rocks rather than possibly lose what he considers a valuable tool.

Just you wait until someone gets hurt, lol. Then the Prof. will be useful.

I have only one concern, how will the children leave the village unnoticed. Because yes Sara can hide and pass unnoticed especially if the monkey men don't pay attention to her, but doubt that the children will be stealthy...and if the monkey men return to face them then are probably dead including Sara if stands and fight...

We need someone to watch and when Sara frees the children let the party know so they can rush to help Sara.

Ewan, will be too much ask Dalorna's familiar to fly above the village and keep an eye at the children? Because will be perfect, it can immediately inform Dalorna and she can tell the party.

We need also a place to go and regroup after the attack because we might be split. Sara cannot risk to try to get the children alone to their village because monkey men may follow her. So I think we need to decide a place in forest not far away from there to regroup and then head altogether to the village.

Arnulf can distract the Monkey men by slinging stones in the bushes so they go investigate.

They might see the stones flying through the air, or even spot Arnulf. Let's start by seeing if the fire works.

All good points.

Tell the kids to be quiet. Play the 'quiet mouse' game, maybe. If the fire and smoke provide a big enough distraction, we might get out without a fight. I'd save any shooting for a dire emergency- as it will be loud and thus draw attention.

Arnulf is the fastest and is good in a scrap. I suggest we have him on relief duty. Of course, the rest of us can jump in if you are outnumbered!

We should pick some clearing or trail nexus as a rally spot, yeah. Does Sara have a place in mind?

I guess we have passed such a place as walking or when Sara went scouting for the village. If no we can meet where was the previous attack since is a spot we all know.

It may not be a bad idea for the Professor to be positioned a ways off, within throwing distance of the camp but not in the front lines. My reasoning behind this is if the party has to make a hasty retreat the Professor would not become the proverbial sick sheep of the herd for the wolves to take out. If the party didn't need him at all I would have him wait at the rendezvous point.

The dwarf is just as slow, if not slower. We aren't leaving her behind, so you need not worry.
