The caliban listens to Catherine. "Whudda yer mean I needs a permit to walk aroun' with muh chain? An one fer me? Like what the frak, man! I ain gonner hurt any one lest they wanner hurt me. Fraggin frag!" Gorn utters some really bad epitaphs and then belches profusely. "Ahhhh, much better."

Catherine tries to speak with calming tone because didn't want to irritate the Calliban.
"Yes I understand that you may not like it Gorn, but we don't know where we are and at least for now we have to play by their rules. As I said someone has gathered us here for some reason and bet what you want that I will find that reason."

The house has a sitting room, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor. On the first are two bedrooms; one large with a double fourposter bed, the other smaller with a single smaller bed; and an upstairs sitting room with a fine view of the garden. On the second floor are three small bedrooms, and a store cupboard. The roof is gently sloping and is covered with a vegetable garden. From the kitchen leads a door into a garden. Immediatly to your right as you emerge is a wood built shed agaisnt the back of the house with a washroom and toilet inside. Also in the kitchen is a trapdoor in the floor.
either side of the house are others butted right up against it, but on the right (as you face the front door from outside) the ground floor of the adjacent house is narrower. This leaves a gap for a covered passage that passes up the side of the garden and then onwards out of the other side of the block in the same way. There is a gate from your garden into this passage.
The only curious aspects are the trapdoor in the kitchen which is locked and will not open, and the chest in the large bedroom upstairs which contains a bag of 50 gold, 50 silver and 50 bronze coins, each of recent mint.

Gorn approaches the locked trap door. "Awright, so did that piece of paper say why we is here? "N how we gonna talk with Clyde over there?" He bends down and tries to open the locked door with brute force.

Catherine places her hand gently at Gorn's bigarm and says:
"Let me take care of the lock, no need to break it. No the paper says nothing about why we are here but as I told you I intend to learn. I don't know who is this Clyde you are talking about though. When we check the trapdoor we can go and try to see if the gardener is here and for sure visit the address at the paper, maybe we can get some answers then."
Catherine steps in front of Gorn so he can see her.
"And Gorn, when we meet this gardener or anyone else when we leave this house, please try to be civil. We don't know if we are still in Richmulot and actually I really doubt we are. I have travelled a lot and have never seen roof gardens...Anyway, whenever we are we need to gather information and not turn the whole city against us."
With that Catherine tries all the keys she has at the lock.

"IF that don't work I gonna kick it in. Gardener?" Gorn goes to look outside the window. Oh his mouth words. "Well if we want answers, we kin go to tha address n find out why we're here and not in Pont A Museau. An Clyde is that chicken worshipper there. See the chicken on his head? Why yer gonna go put a chicken scar on yer forehead? I'm gonna ask him."
Gorn walks over to the Falkovnian. "Hey, Clyde" and he points at the scar "Do ya worship a chicken?" Gorn points at the scar and then mimics a chicken "Bock bock bock bock." He accentuates this by flapping his huge arms like a bird. He nods his head up and down in a yes manner so Helfried will understand what he means.

Trying to open the lock Cat replies:
"You were in Pont Gorn, I was in St. Ronges and we have no idea where was and what did Halfried. I was sleeping and woke up in that starnge cavern unable to move. As about the scar at his forehead I told you that is mark of Talons a dedicated order of soldiers in Falkovia. So better stop mocking him because I bet he is very proud to be part of them. I don't want to have troubles with him. He is with us now. Now come here, might need your help if there is someone hidden down there."
Catherine doesn't really believe that is danger at the crypt but she wants to distract Gorn so he stops taunting Halfried.

As Gorn continues his buffoonery and begins flapping his arms and clucking like a chicken Helfried get's why the man-like thing was in his face earlier or at least how he understands it. The thing is witch-touched. He had heard tales of human infants becoming malformed in their mothers wombs. The thing was cursed and should have been put to a Talon's heel when it was born. Such a thing was not allowed to live in the lands of the Hawk. How it managed to scrape through life and become so physically impressive was beyond Helfried.

As Cat wrestles with the lock, she realises that there is something very strange about it. She would think it was a dummy, a false door, but there are clear signs of wear and scraping that indicate it has been opened. At present, however, she can make nothing of it. Whatever is holding this trapdoor closed, it is not this lock.

Gorn shrugs. Turning, he speaks to Catherine. "So, we gonna go ta this address an find out why we are here?"

Catherine looks at the lock really surprised, it was first time she failed to open a lock. Turning to face Gorn says:
"This is weird, this lock has been opened before but I cannot open it now and no key seems to match it. Maybe a spell has been casted on it. Anyway, if you have finished mocking Halfried I think we should go and see if the gardener is at the garden and if no go at the address that was on the letter."
Getting the letter goes near Halfried and pointing the word gardener and then the address says:
"Come."

"Suit yourself." Gorn walks over to the door and opens it. "Oh yeah, I need some fraggin papers." He goes back and puts out his huge hand to Catherine. When she hands him his papers, he turns back to the door and exits.

Catherine smiles at Gorn and asks:
"Have you peace bond your weapons? We don't need it to talk with the gardener but we need to have that when actually get out of the house."
Saying so she makes one at her weapons as well and controls if Halfried has one at his own.

"Uh, my chain is wrapped around my chest," and he points to it. "Thass enuff fer me. Let's find the gardener." HE lights up another cigar and exits the building.

"Yeah hope it's ok, if we get stopped then we will deal with it. I don't think you can actually peace bond a chain any better!"
Turning back to Halfried again she asks:
"You coming?"
Then she follows Gorn at the garden looking for the gardener.
