I was just trying to be clear about character actions.
We don't have a map, and I wanted to be sure that I was not moving through any threatened squares.

This might not be the smartest move for Nicodemus but he can't let the beast attack these people without at least trying to fight it.

If possible, Nicodemus is attacking while using his move action to draw his axe. Then he uses a five foot step to move closer to Caitlin.

If all of that is not possible. I'd like to do as much as I can. The attack is most important. Drawing the axe is second priority. The five foot step is the least important.

Boiros will cast detect magic and get Nicodemus and the horse at the cone. If there is magic at any of the 2 he will stay concentrated 3 rounds so he gets the school of magic.

I suppose the heal check is a free action because he doesn't touch the horse, he just looks at it closely. But if is considered standard action then Boiros will do that next round.
