"She should be alrigh' to move," Cormac says, "Don' see anythin' too wrong wi' her at this point."

"Were ye kept by the critters in there?" Cormac asks her, "Or by the elves? Have ye seen any other girls?"

SEEKERS

The girl says, "I'm Moll." She leans on Cormac for support.
"Three elfs grabbed me by the creek. One said he was bringing me home, but he lied. They carried me up into the mountains to a big cave where they met some other elfs. I got loose of them and ran into the cave. It was right deep. I kept on in the dark till those scaly little monsters caught me. I was afeared they'd carry me back to the elfs, but they didn't. They brought me a long way in the dark, and into that cave there-"
She points at the collapsed lair of the mine-devils.
"They were meaner than the elfs."
Moll pauses, and then says, ''I didn't see any other girls. But maybe one of the elfs was a lady? It's hard to tell.''

FILBERT

VAN wrote: When he listens the smashing noises and the struggle will hide and go to look what is going on if sees the fight will try to help and if possible do backstab with his sword.
Opening the kitchen door and creeping into the long wooden hall, Filbert looks for the source of the racket.

Looking towards the racket, he sees a rectangle of blue twilight at the far end of the darkened hall on his right. Two tall figures whirl across the opening, appearing and vanishing from moment to moment, a woman in a gown and a man with a flashing sword. Other, less distinct forms move in the gloaming further behind the two moving shapes.

Looking the other way, deeper into the building, he sees a short stretch of empty hall that drops into set of steps leading down into deep darkness.

A piece of the darkness detaches from the cellar stairway and rushes towards Filbert, the shadowy thing resolving into a solid form as it draws near.
Lord Runcible looks down at the Halfling and smiles, revealing teeth like yellow bone arrowheads set in his gray, rotting gums.
"Going someplace, meat -pie?"
He grabs at Filbert...

...sezing the Halfling by the neck and lifting him off the floor!

Filbert jerks his weapon forward, trying to stab the fat flesh-eater, but his arm won't obey! It's frozen. The chill travelling down his neck from Runcible's vise-like fingers stops Filbert's limbs, stops everything except the rapid beat of his heart and the shallow, slow pumping of his lungs.

"I have the Halfling! Do you hear me, outlanders? Throw down your weapons and we can negotiate, or else I'll rip out his throat."

Seekers

Foerde approaches the girl and kneels down. "Hello, Moll." He says. "I am Foerde, Priest of Cuiraeccen. Take me hand, I will say prayer of healing and heal what ever wounds may still have."

He extends his arm out with an open palm. Once she takes his hand, he begins a simple prayer of healing. After he stands, "Come let us see if we can't find your home. If you don't recognize any land marks along the way, you may rest in my daughters room tonight and we can start fresh in the morning." He says to her.

"We should be going now, no reason to delay." He says to the others.

Moll takes Foerde's hand.

A moment later, as Foerde finishes his prayer, anyone standing just behind her may see the scabs on her back vanish, replaced by pink skin.

The girl says, "Thank you!"

UGO

Ugo, looking through the crack of the door, sees Runcible seize Filbert in the hallway.

SAFANA

Safana sees Devlin battling one of the she-ghuls on the lawn of desiccated weeds, rapier against iron nails and snapping jaws.

Gunnar has smashed the other against the stone wall of the building's exterior. The giant child casts about, looking confused.

The doorway stands open, the near part of the darkened hallway leading in littered with splinters.

She hears a voice calls out from down the hall,

"I have the Halfling! Do you hear me, outlanders? Throw down your weapons and we can negotiate, or else I'll rip out his throat."

''I'm an orphan. My papa died two years ago, and the bailiff came and told me I had to go work for a shepherd, Leomund. He lets me sleep in the sheepfold.''
She coughs.
'Um,, could I have something to drink, please? Something to eat?"

Foerde will hands over his water skin and some of his trail rations to the girl. "What of your Mother? Do you know much about her?" he says.

''Papa never told me about her."

UGO
Desperate, Ugo drops to the floor, pretending to have been knocked out. He keeps looking through half opened eyes the scene unfolding. While Master Runcible is distracted with Filbert, Ugo reapplies some blood to the back of his head, the place where he hit the corner of the table, from his cut finger trying to make the disguise seem more real.
His emotions are in jumble. His fear is as paralyzing as the Masters' touch and bellow the deep blanket of fear, other emotions stir. Hope that he will escape and for reasons he can't comprehend both relief, happiness but also trepidation and disappointment that Masters are being killed.

"I see a young Sidhelien, who has been denied a part of her heritage." Foerde says. "Come, tonight you will rest in a proper bed. In the morning, you will eat a proper meal. I will pray to Cuiraeccen, perhaps he can guide us to your true family." He says to the girl.

Lying on his side near the kitchen door, peeking out into the hall with his eyes barely open, Ugo can't see much more than what's near the door.
Lord Runcible, huge and powerful, holds Filbert close, by the neck.
Filbert does not squirm, or make any noise at all.

More than that, Ugo cannot see. Not lying down, eyes-half shut, with the doorframe and kitchen wall blocking most of the murky hall from view.
