CLASS: HIGHWAY RIDER

The Highway Rider's motives are detailed on page 17 of Champions of Darkness.
HIGHWAY RIDER (Rogue)
Benefit: +1 Agility
Integrity: 1.0
Skills: Athletics, Courtier, Etiquette, Horsemanship, Stealth (Ambush), any one Combat Skill, any one Skill
Outfit: knife or sword, light or riding armor, riding horse, sturdy clothing, traveling pack, 8 gold.
TECHNIQUES
The Highwayman’s Edge
A Highway Rider begins his career of notoriety with flair and elegance. You gain a bonus equal to your Glory rank to all Horsemanship Skill Rolls while traveling through bad terrain, inclement weather, combat or any other condition that could be considered stressful for both you and your mount. You do not lose Integrity for using Low Class Skills, provided they are attempted outside any permanent settlement.
Eyes on the Road
Navigating the land’s back roads is essential for any Highway Rider, for whatever reason or deed he wishes to perform. You gain the Absolute Direction Advantage for no cost in Experience points. If you already have Absolute Direction, you are refunded that many Experience points instead.
Trusted Mount
As time passes and his skills improve, the Highway Rider gains an almost empathic connection with a specific mount. Such a creature now fights willingly and intelligently along with you without any need of a Skill Roll. If the mount dies, another one takes its place within the day.
Savoire-faire
A Highway Rider has an innate understanding of manners and courtly etiquette. For a number of times a day equal to your Class Rank, you gain a bonus equal to your Reputation Rank to the total of any Social Skill Roll.
Horse and Rider are One
At the peak of his abilities, the Highway Rider can now perform dashing physical feats to the amazement of all who see him. When utilizing the Full Attack Stance while on your trusted mount, you may spend a Void point after making a successful attack against an opponent to add +1k1 to the Damage Roll. You cannot use this Technique if you have less than 3 Ranks in your Horsemanship Skill.
