Wow, I would be great to see more about these. I recall another RL module at Gen Con years ago called something like, "The Return of the ____ Seven" (?) but that might not have been an RPGA module.

I'd love to see them added to the reviews section here, I know nothing more about them than the titles.
I agree -- giving the summaries a permanent home here (maybe on a page somewhere) will help to preserve some "lost Ravenloft lore". Please keep up the good work Daisu.

Cheers, Daniel.

Return of the lucky Seven (1996) by Derek Pattison
Domain: Broward
Summary: The town and domain of broward suffer under a unique curse. Long time ago, the mountian valley was ruled by a baron who was benovolent in most matters except a utter hatred for children, to a point his men had to retrain him whenever he caught sight of one.
He took many lovers even among the common people. One of these lovers was a vistani women who exotic ways drew the baron. But when she announced she was having his child, the baron slew her. Before the last breath made it past her lips, however, she uttered a curse, "In the name of all the gods, dark and light, may you forever cursed to be the Boogey-Man, the haunter of children's dreams, reappearing every generation until seven children unite to confront their fears." The dark powers took notice, and Broward was cast adrift into the mists, and the Baron became Red Eyes a ghostly figure that haunts the children nightmares.
Every twenty years, a group of seven children were born, who, together have power to stop the Red Eyes. But Red Eyes managed to sepparat and slay or enslave them each generation. As this went on Red Eyes became more powerful and realized that adults did not acknowledge his presence, and could take their children and they would forget they existed. Thus red eyes became even more despicable and dark powers rewarded him with more power.
One year, a elven wild mage who came to broward, was sufficently childlike that he could detect red eyes, realized what was happening and intervened saving the seven children of that generation.
Now another twenty years have past, those children had grown up went their seppart ways and all but forgotten the incident, but the mage is about to reunite them with this generation's seven might be enough. But Red Eyes was not going to be caught off guard by the mage again...and struck first.
Notes: Each of the seven have a special empowered item, Red eyes can use his power to drain the age of the current seven in hopes to make them children again, scaring them and enslaving them. Red Eyes feed upon children dreams and turning the child into a mindless servant. With special care he can create many different undead from children he has drained.

Reminds me kinda like nightmare of elm street or stephen king's IT vibe, though red eyes in this one is a ghost. When the new third edition Vr guides came out what if red eyes was not a ghost...
If something would make a popular adventure if reprinted, The Lucky Seven would be perfect.

I wouldn't mind hearing more about the modual from the player point of view, much less contricting then from an archivist as myself, probly help FoS have more information :D
Also if anyone ran similar adventures that like some of these summarized moduals in plot and creature. Has anyone done an adventure with the phantom lover?!

I will post another summary after some replys on the thread.

Honestly, I wish I remembered more details. :? I simply recall that it was a long time ago (1997 sounds like the right year), I pounced on it when I saw an honest-to-Inajira Ravenloft module on the Gen Con schedule, and it was fun to play. Was it a great module? Nope. Great games I've played at big cons have always seared themselves into my memory, and obviously this one didn't. I do recall enjoying it (a solid B if I had to grade it) and that it had a good "oooh, that makes sense!" climax, kind of like a good episode of the Friday the 13th TV series. :) But as for details, not too many stuck in my head.

Still hoping to find some more answers to some of my questions above :(

I tried to find more about some of the older rpga which was mentioned on the first page, ie ravenslurch. Guy who page mentioned it does not remember :( I talked to alot of authors in the past, and they did not mentioned ravenslurch as theirs when asked about their exploits in the ravenloft franchise.

I'm reviving this thread to provide a link ot the Acaeum's great Adventurer's Guild index and also to ask if the lucky winners on the rpga modules from the other thread and indeed all owners of any rpga Ravenloft tournamenst provide a short summary in this thread to be later hosted in the reviews section.

Yes, indeed, that would be a good addition, given their extreme rarity.

When you are done, send them to me or PM me so I could collect them in the thread.

And I agree, Farewell to the Flesh is another good way to introduce Carnival, like the Blasse mini adventure. You get introduced to the Carnival, but for a while you don't know if its dwellers are good or not.
