"By the way, I hope you can attend my lecture next month" "My research has had some ... Iluminating conclusions." He fingers the amulet "This is one of them"
“His lecture will surely prove to be interesting. You’ll see, Mr Hartly, that Mr Buchold find enough time outside of Misericordia’s Balls and art galleries to make some fascinating research… in a worthwhile field”, Viktor says.
"... Interesting." Hartly said with a nod. "I look forward to hearing of it."
Viktor Hazan wrote:Tobias Blackburn wrote:"Greetings." He said, the slow words holding a Mordentish drawl. "I am Lauren Hartly. I study Faith."
"You study Faith? That is how you describe your ... studies?"
"Yes..." He replied. "People believe, and some gain power. They claim this power is from a... Deity, one that expects certain behaviour. But there are many who worship the same source and break many commandments, yet still gain their strength."
He pauses and looks up.
"Know the source of faith, and you understand the plane. The power of the... gods is no different from that of the arcane. Upon close examination."

Vili Rosnel, made like at his usual an unceremonial entrance in the manor. He would probably been at is place at a Nova Vaasa court, but here in Richemulot, he feel like being some backward peasant from Barovia. "Indeed it seem I have more to learn from the Northern Core than I first thought" does he say to himself.
He give is longsword and dagger to the servant and ask into a Mordentish with a very strong Vaasi accent if a servant could take care of his horse. He after that go at the armory get out his studded leather and put more circumstancial clothes.

Viktor laughed and said to Hartly "he always comes like this trying to sell us his arcane goods... but without ever telling us of their power."
Turning back to Buchvold "I'm sure the Boritisi Trading company would help you practice your selling skills!" and he laughed again.
"I'm pulling your leg, of course. What does it do?" while looking at the amulet ...

He then took Vili apart for a moment and said to him in his ears "I believe your ... contact ... hasn't arrived yet. "

"I believe it would be an... enlightening discussion." Hartly agrees, his face completely impassive.

Ugh... Hartly thought behind his porcelien face.
Arcane again. How utterly common. Perhaps I should go, if only to develop a few more contacts.
"I look forward to it." He said, straightening up. "Do you have any items of a more estoeric nature?"

In the corner near the Eastern door, a small orchestra chamber is playing smooth, sophisticate music. They are now playing “when the moon rises” from the Barovian composer Von Strauz.
For a moment, Viktor is distracted: he watches for a moment the lady seated in the corner. Their gaze meets for a long moment, and Viktor is the first to break it. Fascinating person, she seem to show a lot of inner strength. Her clothes are very peculiar. Where does she comes from?
He turns back to his guests.

Viktor gives him a reassuring smile "no, you didn't transform a few wolf into carpets for nothing. I said he didn't arrive, I meant he is late, just that, late. Come join the other guests"
He joins his guests with Vili.
"By any chance, did Mr Van Rijn tell any of you of his ... conference subject?", Viktor asked around casually. "From what I know, I believe it should be quite remarquable"
