The gather info roll was for Damien? If needed Tom has the skill and can help.

I'm ok with fast forward :)

Tom can't help without being in contact with Damien, although he is of course free to attempt an NWP roll later.

Clearly these scrolls of wish, holy avenger's swords, and Apparatuses of Kwalish also fall under the category of "mission critical supplies."

No, more like:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modron

MODRON is an old Judges Guild supplement, among the earlier setting sourcebooks made for D&D/AD&D. The city takes its name from an in-game river-goddess.
I think the JG authors had this particular female Gaulish deity in mind:

Various sources suggest a link between Modron (Welsh) and Matrona. A game designer in the late Seventies might easily have picked up this kind of stuff at the library, going through books about mythology, old place-names, etc.
JG authors were pretty eclectic in their name selection.

Most of this setting is going to be homebrew.

But I am not making it for commercial publication, so I have no reason not to use published stuff in the mix.
I'm sticking to obscure borrowings, mostly adapting locations from out of print game stuff I own.
Thus, Povero in the short PN Elrod module is the basis for our (already further developed) city of the same name.

What you won't see are well-known/'core' chunks of TSR/Wizbros settings just dropped onto the map. No Waterdeep or Greyhawk.

Meh... now I want Flid to learn book-binding. Sounds very interesting. Is it still a thing? Haven't seen a "Scented, deer-hide bound" book ever. And I would totally appreciate it.

Bookbinding is a craft Fild could pursue, sure.

Most of the details of printing, bookbinding, and other such technological and artistic things are drawn from historical material. Nothing deeply researched, just my passing familiarity with the subject matter and some flipping through an encyclopedia.
