The fight lasted just a matter of seconds. It was all very violent and very quick.

Several PCs were healing, resting, searching the area, etc. It's reasonable that not everyone acted at once.

Most of the party was not close at hand, was resting, or was simply caught by complete surprise as the brutal orgy of backstabbing began.

I am holding updates for the time being.

As he sees it, Theophile is beyond them now, into some other exit and through caves he knows much better than the party. If they follow, he might lead them through some infected area as the first time they came in and make void the effect of the supposed antidotes they have drank. If they want to catch Theophile, a possible other avenue would be to get out the way they came, let Genniffer rest in the house and then proceed to the cave opening they took that day before...

Except, now I remember, that we do not know anything about Gauderic, of course. Anyway, he will still propose that. The group is well falling apart as it is.
