Re: RAVENLOFT: The One That Got Away OOC
take 20 = auto success for Kat
That's the slow and steady approach.
It will leave her exposed for a while...
Doing it quickly and very quietly requires disable device DC 10 and move silently DC 20 rolls. This represents a quick bit of wiggling loose in just the right places, then carefully but swiftly removing the boards.
She does get all her usual bonuses.
It wasn't made to be easily and stealthily removed.

I went ahead and rolled for you, Kintire, to keep things moving and to carry what I took as you intent into game-action.
Very handy successes. Will post.

Given party's clear intent, I'll make some skill checks as a gauge of probable results in the group's sneak-n-peak...

Just to be clear, I cast light on my holy symbol.
Bonus Question: Does anyone know from what movie I took that prayer?

Re: RAVENLOFT: The One That Got Away OOC
I used the rolls, along with declared actions, to construct a summary/gloss scene for part of the exploration.
Is the party conducting a detailed, painstaking search? Mapping?
Or are you going for speed? A quick, but fairly thorough, look about, with the intent of finding baddies and spying on them/fighting them?
My current post assumes no risky moves through blocked areas, and no long pauses to make maps.

I made group rolls above, but please do not feel at all constrained in declaring your own specific actions with attached rolls.

Didn't the Banite Lawgiver's cleric mentioned he has clairaudience memorized?

If the cleric descends the stairs, Raen will stay 40-50 feet behind him. Far enough to be silent, close enough to rush in close range if needed.
Very good idea to prepare clairaudience dude.

Thank you.
I doubt rolling down his sleeve would mute the glare enough, but Klokulf could stick his arm down one of the pockets of his handy haversack, if that would help.
Can I take ten on Move Silently going down the stairs? I am just not good enough to risk it.

Taking 10, I get an 11 on Move Silently. I hope the chanting drowns his steps out.
Can Klokulf see a good vantage point from which a magic sensor would pick up the voices?

Yes, he can.
The hall's clear for the range of his illumination, from that position. Just placing the listening post closer in should help.
