Ok, quick question here as I do like the M:tG lore. How much lore is out there on Innistrad and would it be easy to create the area as a domain or island?

Quite a lot, it seems. I'm sure one could make a domain out of it fairly easily. Not sure who the darklord would be, though. There's one single focus of the good guys (Avacyn), but the monsters are more fragmented. As far as I know (and I haven't read everything, so I may be wrong), they don't have a single leader (as yet, maybe SOI will change that.)

I would say that the easiest transition would be to make it a 4-domain cluster: Gavony, Nephalia (ghoulcaller domain lord - one of the necromancer siblings, perhaps?), Kessig (werewolf domain lord, although there's no specific legendary creature for this role), and Stessia (vampire domain lord - possibly Olivia Voldaren). Gavony is probably the one that least lends itself to an obvious domain lord, but perhaps demoting Tibault from planeswalker to trapped devil-manipulator would work.

Kozilek is NOT on Innistrad.

And chances are, neither are any of the Eldrazi (as implied by this card):

Hi everyone.
It's been a long time.
Have you seen this?
I'm starting yo think Avacyn is The Dark Lord of Innistrad.
Trapped in her eternal quest to decimate corruption she is going insane and starting to kill her own cathars.
I'm having some ideas about a campaign in Ravenloft using Innistrad.

Avacyn was warped from a white creature to a red creature by the planeswalker Sorin himself, because his ex Nahiri started killing vampires in Innistrad. Long complicated plot, but basically there's a balance that needs to be maintained by Sorin on the plane.

It seems Sorin is putting her down more than just "reprogramming" her. I liked the whole idea of fake/constructed angel. Just imagine the ritual and materials needed.

So far i'm in love with this expa. Love the idea of the angels going mad and the humans separated into apostates and inquisitors.

It is a grim duty to save the world from those created to protect it.

PS. Sorry for the bad english.

So... Innistrad is coming to D&D with Plane Shift: Innistrad, just like the Zendikar supplement a few months back. From the article and previews, it could be ripe for plundering material for Ravenloft!

Remember though: with the current "Eldritch Moon" storyline, Innistrad just crossed the line from Gothic horror to cosmic horror.

Yeah, but they learned their lesson from Avacyn Restored. By the end of Eldritch Moon, things are (somewhat) back to "normal" with

It's kind of like Gwydion got loose, but then stuffed back into the Gate.

ETA: James Wyatt (of Heroes of Horror and EtCR fame) is writing it. Neat! He even name-checks Curse of Strahd and Ravenloft in that interview, and in the intro blurb... (Krezk is mentioned as a town in Innistrad too!)
