Canon Asylums

Post by DeepShadow of FoS »

Well, what are they? Where are they located?

I've got Dominia, Clangor Asylum in Maykle, and Saulbridge in Mordentshire.

I think we did this once before.. no time to search now. but you're missing a biggie: Illhausen's clinic for the mentally distressed.

I thought that one was abandoned? Well, I guess abandoned ones are a good thing to know about, too. Okay, any abandoned asylums out there?

Also, I tried a search for a prior thread, but couldn't find it. Please give a link if you find it.!

COTN:Vampires has an unamed asylum in Port-a-Lucine.

Doctor Wilhelm Mikki runs an asylum in Chataufaux, but I don't think it's ever given a name.

Uncanon, but it was reopened for the FoS NS Report :)

You also, uncanon-wise, have a very good article on asylums in the USS 01.

Well, I searched but couldn't find it. Might have been lost at the Goat.

Here are a few more, though:
Mousel Sanitarium for Mental Health, Mordentshire (LotB)
Asylum of Port-a-Lucine (CotN:V)
The Madhouse of Tor Gorak, Tovag (VR)

There's also whatever's left of Dominiani's keep in the former Gundarak.

Also, the asylum where the staff was devastated by the Gibbering Golem from Van Richten's Guide to the Created.

It was converted into a military prison (Gaz I).

Has anyone mentioned the one in the Nightmare Lands, Dr Gregory Illhousen's clinic, if I'm not mistaken?

Funny thing, this is what Gonzoron posted above. When I read Ron's post, I was actually picturing in my mind Dr. Dominiani's asylum from Bleak House.

My bad.
