Sense motive:
[dice]0[/dice]+8

15 total. I've posted Raen's mistrust before I saw there was a bluff check involved.
I am also somewhat hesitant about that "+4 because I say partial truth" modifier except if I got the reasoning wrong and the+4 is your actual modifier.

My base Bluff modifier is +4. I should be more careful when I phrase things. If I get conditional modifiers, I will try to list them separately.

I was trying to say the Bluff check may be technically required, because he is attempting to keep his suspicions about everyone else from coming through in his speech.

Good to know. :) I thought it may have been a case of misunderstanding.

In my opinion, sense motive wouldn't tell you whether to trust us or not, just tell you if we lie. You can still mistrust us I believe, but that is for Ewan to make a ruling.

I reviewed the rules, and I can get a "hunch" about a situation or someone's trustworthiness by rolling against DC 20. My instinct is to think that Klokulf is a little too paranoid for his own good right now, and can't be certain about how sincere Bennedict is being. However, that can shift depending on the official ruling about the effectiveness of my roll.

Well, all those are true but I am not sure what's the DC (if any) to get a "they seem sincere".

Also, friend, you don't need to explain your motives to me, or the way you choose to play your character. :) I was just offering an opinion on the rules and the skill.
I don't want to make you feel unwelcome or something.

I have noticed that I have been explaining Klokulf's motivation a lot more than I otherwise would. I am going to start curbing that.

Don't worry, I don't feel unwelcome.

This may not be the best idea, but here it goes:
Klokulf casts detect thoughts, if no one interrupts him. The DC to keep him out of your surface thoughts following the third round is 16.

Yeah, that calls for spellcraft I guess...
[dice]0[/dice]+9

That's a 23. I'll wait confirmation from Ewan, but in case Raen realizes what happens he will ... well be insulted and warn Benn but let it happen.

That's good enough to identify the spell.
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

It will be interesting to see Benn's reaction.

He's still got a loaded crossbow at the ready. Lowered somewhat, but not stowed, as per latest update.

Spellcraft to see if I know the particulars.
