Burdur shakes his head "The house changes itself. Even if there are some plans for the building, could we trust them? And the ghost thought the house had a cellar while it has a dungeon of horrors."

"Well of course the father wouldn't have let his children go to the cellar. He knew what he was hiding there. I'm sure there will be more secret rooms in this house and maybe in one of them the way to escape. We cannot just go blindly at the cellar again. We were lucky so far with the ghouls and traps. There were 8 beds in the cellar if I remember correct and we have defeated only 4 I think...meaning there are more left. We should be smart and plan ahead otherwise we will not leave this place alive...We have Thorn available he may know something. Also I think we should check the library if we know the lay out of this place we might figure out a way to escape."

Captain Esthenor coughs. "I killed two" he says in a raspy voice.

Thorn shakes Kimber's head.

"There's no escape. No one leaves. Everybody left before but no one is leaving now. You have to stay with me."

The half elf looks a little weepy.

"You can't leave me! You can't!"

Van look at Kimber a bit annoyed that the ghost only repeated himself without actually giving them any advice.

"Yes you have already said that. We will stay here with you forever."

Turning to the others he says:

"Still there should be a away out. Lets go to the library and check the books we may find something there. Go back to the basement with no plan is a suicide. Maybe the house wants us to do something before it let us go. There should be a purpose at its sick game. Maybe if we learn more about the house and the family that lived here we can figure out its end game and what to do next. What we know for now is that the children parents were cultists that did evil rituals and killed many people. But someone, the so called monster, came in here and slew them all for some reason. The parents forced their children to go to the attic, locked them inside and forgotten them there...thus they are now ghosts. Then they probably died from the monster as well. Now this monster maybe is still down at the basement or maybe it left after killing everyone. We don't even know how many years have passed from the attack. We should read again the letters and the note we found earlier. Maybe there is a date on them."

Kimber gazes at Van blankly.

"You want to visit the library? I know where that is! this way, this way!"

Skips off in the direction of the library, skipping like a young boy in the woman's body.

The party can hear Esthenor whispering to the dwarf cleric "kill it" and the dwarf frowning pushing the blind man away. Thorn leads the party to the library. The ghost doesn't seem to have been aware of the secret room the party has found earlier.

The shutters the party has broken the previous day have repaired themselves. The adventurer's skeleton is still where Van have dropped it.

"Damnation," breathes Vorj as he sees that the damage they'd done earlier is gone. He's reluctant to trust Thorn, but what choice do any of them have right now?

"All right, Van... let's start looking again." He begins looking for family histories or journals.

A couple of hours going through the books in the library and the secret room doesn't unearth anything new.

Van looks at the shatters really confused.

"What is going on with this place!"

"Library is the best place for information. We need to find what happened in here and maybe reverse it or do justice about it. Maybe if we put all these undead to rest the curse will be lifted. Or we should figure out how to deal with Thorn's and Rose's abandonment issues...maybe they want so badly to not being alone that they keep us trapped in here with them. Even if this doesn't explain how the house repairs itself and mocks us...I don't like the idea of wandering at the basement with 7 ghouls left and who knows what else without any plan."

He takes the deeds and looks at them more closely.

Thorn seems happy to be with people, and participates in looking at the books, though he doesn't seem very sure what he is looking for. Occasionaly he seems to shiver and his face contorts a bit, but then he mutters "no, no! Go to sleep..." and resumes

"That is probably the way to go..." Vorj says, looking suspiciously at the possessed Kintire. He walks over to Kintire and gets down on his haunches to talk to the shivering "child."

"Kinti-- I mean, Thorn," he says haltingly. "You've been listening to us say what WE want. What is it that you want?"

Kimber looks thoughtful for a moment.

"Well... I want them all back. My sister... nanny... the others... but if I can't have that if they're all gone away I want new friends! You all! I want you to stay with me and be my friends, for ever!"

The cheery expression suddenly acquires a darker cast.

"FOREVER. No one leaves me again! No One!"

Then the smiles return.

Burdur turns to the paladin "We gave Kimber's flesh to a spirit that had lost his, instructing her to suppress her soul. This is wrong. This is evil. And nothing good comes from evil."
The dwarf kicks a chair. "This is a waste of time. There's nothing here but sick books and tricks from the house."

"Burdur, I don't know about you but I don't want to go back to the cellar clueless of what is going on. There are still many ghouls downthere and we already have suffered the consequenses of their attack. Add the deadly traps to that. We need a strategy and an idea of how to leave this house that is clearly taunting us. At least I suggest to take javellins or spears so we can attack from distance."
