POVERO Campaign OOC

Post by ewancummins »

Does anybody want to play my adaptation of an adventure written by P N Elrod (author of I, Strahd)?

Requirements for players:
You have not played the published adventure and do not know much about it.
If in doubt, PM me. Odds are you have not played it unless you played a lot of AD&D and your DM had a subscription to Dungeon magazine.

Number of players:
Minimum of three
Maximum of six

Rules in use: AD&D 2E core rules.

PCs:
Non lawful and non evil alignments would work best.

Exact level TBD after I see how many people are interested. It will be low level.

A thief class character would be good.

A female character would be helpful.

No special race or class limitations. Ask if you are uncertain.( The adventure takes place in a human dominated area: Demihumans will stick out, but won't be treated as monsters.)

Ability scores will be generated on the forum. Roll 3d6 in order twice. Order is STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIS , CHR.
Take whichever of the two complete sets you prefer.
If you roll once and like what you get, you don't have to roll a second set.

Setting: city, possibly other areas
If you guys enjoy the game and your PCs survive , continued adventures are a possibility. I have been kicking around some homebrew ideas for a while, and this could be the seed of a new setting. You may contribute to its development. But first, the starting adventure.

EDIT:

You may replace on ability score with an 11. This leaves a fairly good chance that you will have one or more below average scores, but it should alleviate concerns about rolling a particularly "bad" set of rolls.

EDIT

Optional and tournament rules in use:

Nonweapon Proficiencies
( house rule: add two bonus slots in general group)

At Death's Door

Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Sure. I don't know nothing about nothing.

Those are pretty good, Stevil. As I read it, this guy may have a foggy memory or poor analytical skills.
He is stronger than average and gifted with truly outstanding coordination and reflexes.

Approved.

So, what is she like? Looks, personality? Any particular occupation/ racket, skills of note, weapons carried, etc?
Just stuff to consider. You are a vet. I am sure you will come up with something fun. :azalin:
