Seradon after realizing how terrible the sketches are, scraps that piece of paper and takes another out. As far as I remember, the cost of paper in D&D is like 15gp for 50 pages notebook or something.

Well, there's a good chance that we will ALL wake up in Paridon quite soon. We will tell you then our story ICly.

Kintire: If we sleep in the temple, Seradon will take 20 to make a good sketch of the God King and other seemingly-important-history-wise drawings. He will also pocket a couple of paraphernalia.
He intends to give them to the institute that sent the poor professor to the desert.

The party will shortly be returning to Paridon and you will join them there. I will pm you a short introduction. The party can gain a level as well.

The part of my post that is in italics is a curse. Seradon's frustration over the death of the expedition, being tricked by doppelgangers, the 10 days in the desert etc boiled over when he learned their lives were worth 1 gp.

Keep in mind that Seradon is a spellcaster, so he gets a +1 for curses. He's also a man so he gets a -1, he's good so IIRC that's a -1 too. He added an escape clause though! After all, he doesn't want revenge; he just wants the captain to learn a lesson because he's angry with the captain.
Seradon's not entirely aware that he's laying a curse BTW; He knows he wants the captain to stop enjoying things that he buys till he learns to value compassion and that he would love intervention from higher powers but I don't think he realizes he's actually requesting help from Mysterious Powers (that love to meddle for their own reasons). Not that he would mind if he knew, but I don't think he does realize.
I don't know if that makes the curse more or less likely to take hold but still wanted to make it clear.

If you want me to make my case why I believe such a curse is highly justified, please say so.

First, apologies for the delay. Bit of a family crisis here.

Our first curse! I will have to haul out the rules and have a look, but I think I could do with a case for highly justified.
