Definitely not too much like standard high fantasy. We've got no substantial wealth, we only have the magic items we started out with, one of our party members may be incapacitated for the long term, and another may or may not be The Littlest Serial Killer. In short, it's awesome. Very much fits the feel of a Ravenloft campaign.

Also, it actually feels like it's more influenced by police procedurals and cop dramas than high fantasy, which I really like.

It is influenced by police procedurals, as well as pulp detective stuff and film noir movies. To me, those genres mesh well with Gothic.
