I completely forgot to let my old friends here at the Fraternity know about a new series of horror comics and short fiction that I'm putting together for NUELOW Games -- "The Werewolf Hunter."

Each volume in the series will feature 3-4 not-often-seen comics reprinted from the Golden Age and some fiction, some of it never seen before at all. Each issue will also contain RPG material, although it will pretty light-weight stuff for old horror hands like everyone here. The comics and short stories are good sources of inspiration however. The star of the Werewolf Hunter variety horror show, Prof. Broussard himself, might be particularly appealing to Ravenloft fans, as he has a few things in common with our beloved Van Richten.

On the comics front, the first issue features two stories with Prof. Broussard, the re-introduction of Lady Satan (transfromed from spy to powerful sorceress), and a chilling werewolf tale from Lee "Black Cat" Elias. Fictioni-wise, there's the beginning of a werewolf serial by Robert E. Howard, and an all new story by yours truly that reveals the until-now unknown truth behind Lady Satan's transformation. There are also some universal RPG rules for use in customizing werewolves, but for folks used to the "Van Richten's Guides", they're hardly worth mentioning, to be honest.

Because of my history with Ravenloft and this website, everyone who purchases "The Werewolf Hunter #1"through the links in this post will get a $1 the usual retail price. Please check it out, let me know what you think either here, at the NUELOW Games blog, or by posting comments or reviews on the product's listings page.

We have something else coming up in the near future that will be of even greater interest around here, I think. It's a VERY cool d20 System product written by long-time contributor to Fraternity material. I'm currently editing it, and I get more and more excited about being lucky enough to be the one to publish this product as I work my way through the manuscript. I think you folks will love it!

Meanwhile, check out previews of "The Werewolf Hunter #1", or get a copy of your own at a discount by clicking here. This discount is valid through the end of 2013.

(Oh... and speaking of inspriational sources, a coupe of the stock art collections I've put together for NUELOW might be of interest as well. "Beauties and the Beasts" and "Dames, Danger & Death" are well worth a look if you enjoy gothic horror, I think.Click here!)
