This song makes me think of a regular day in RavenLoft for the average person. Death is always near and there's nothing anyone can do but mourn. Include things like rivers of death and fogs along the horizon and you get a very Ravenloft-y feel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ekOznhZ ... re=related

This video game music is eery and sombre, with a definite "end of days" feel to it. It plays in the final five minutes before the game world is destroyed. By the time you hear it, all your beloved familiar NPCs have fled the city and social order has broken down completely. Most chillingly, the only people left in the city are public servants too dedicated to their jobs to abandon post, and... little children.

The children are playing in the streets, oblivious to the impending doom hanging above them all.

I'm sure I've mentioned Vitamin String Quartet in one or more of the threads linked here. They are great. It's amazing how you can take a pop/rock song and play it on strings and suddenly it sounds sinister and thematic. So imagine what they can do with songs that were meant to be sinister and thematic. They just released this:

An album of horror movie themes. You can sample them there, or listen to the full version of the Halloween theme on soundcloud.com, and you can buy the album on itunes. I like it....

Try this artist on Youtube... myuuji

http://www.youtube.com/user/myuuji/videos

He does piano covers of many silent hill songs and also some creepy originals that he just lets others use! They are some of the best I have heard in a long while!

Hey everyone. Take an hour off and listen to H. P. Lovecraft, the musical: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZFGEmqkMFc

There's a bunch of audio music/sound files at Tabletop Audio that could definitely fit Ravenloft atmosphere.

Although many genres are covered, many in other genres would still apply to Ravenloft ambiance. Really anything except the modern/sci-fi sounds probably can fit in Ravenloft somewhere (and really some of the modern/sci-fi still works). And the creator is willing to take suggestions. You'll notice Samurai HQ as a relatively recent addition to the collection - that was based on me asking for some oriental music, something that could fit Kaidan.

Each sound/music file is 10 minutes long.

OK, friends. If you can't find a use for these sound files, hand in your Ravenloft badge:

production lasted only six weeks. Children found them difficult to operate and more scary than cuddly
... and I agree.

I'm surprised that I haven't seen the 'haunted house' band Midnight Syndicate mentioned here yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFllOE4 ... 5B79EA8FB3

Bands like Artesia (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3s_xfu7jCw), who I used in my home haunt soundtrack last year - including Moon and the Night Spirit and Faun - are pretty adaptable to a fantasy horror themed table top soundtrack.

I'm a Lovecraft guy, so I like the stuff AKLO is putting out too - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBOj9fGvNIk

And there are loads of soundtracks that fit Ravenloft like a glove for me - Danny Elfman's soundtrack to Sleepy Hollow being one of my favorites.
