For those who need a primer, cryptozoology is the study of "mythical" creatures like sasquatch, the Jersey Devil, the chupacabra, alien grays, etc.

The only real time I had a Gothic Earth game going I did use the chupacabra (lit. "goat-sucker"). It was a chimeric creature much like the popular urban myths paint it, and yes, it sucked the blood of goats and other livestock. Granted this was in my own Modern Nights setting, and the body caused a real stir in the scientific community (its physiology was clearly artificial in its makeup). Never did decide on whether it was a genetic engineering project, magical aberration, or other; the group fell apart soon after as my players began graduating college and no longer had time for D&D.
