RLR vs. Ultimate Ravenloft--Please explain?

Post by DeepShadow of FoS »

Are these different projects, or the same? Is "revisited" the same as "reanimated"? Someone help me out here.

The project was originally called Ultimate RL, kind of a joke after the remake of the Marvel Universe, but someone (I guess it was Jester) pointed out that if we called it "Ultimate", some people could mistakenly believe that it could be the Ultimate reference for Ravenloft. Thus, the (currently missing) Arcanist proposed the name "Revenloft Reanimated". It sounded good, so it stayed.

So all three names (Ultimate, revisited, reanimated) are for the same project?

Never have used "Revisited", but for the other two the answer is yes:

Ravenloft Reanimated, the project formerly known as Ultimate Ravenloft.

Is Ravenloft Reanimated an explicitly 4e project, 3.5e, Pathfinder, or system-free?

If I recall correctly, it's omni-system.. whatever systems the contributors support. WolfKook had said that it's supposed to be as system-neutral as possible, with contributors giving stats and rules for the systems they themselves support. At the moment, I think it's 4th, 3.5, and Pathfinder... though GRUPS, Storyteller, et all may have supporters among contributors.
