Not certain that is the right forum to post this in, but:

Former Kargat Steve Miller (Domains of Dread along with numerous other credits) has run into a bad patch, including an expensive recent hospital stay. Steve and the other members of the Ravenloft design team at TSR were, aside from their work on the game itself, also a welcoming presence (in a period when TSR was only just emerging from a frosty relationship with fan-works) that contributed to the creation of the Kargatane and, by extension, the Fraternity of Shadows.
