Sea of Sorrows Gazetteer?

Post by Rock of the Fraternity »

What's the status on this mighty project? :) It's been a while since I last heard anything about it.

We've been slowly rolling it out in pieces in Quoth the Raven for the past 3 years. We expect another piece in this year's QtR. We hope to have the final 2 parts finished and the full netbook compiled soon thereafter.

A couple of questions/suggestions

1) Are you including any fan domains in these one?

I remember you had the Drowning Deep and Rutledge (the latter actually being a part of Locknar Cove from the Book of Sacrifices) in the Nocturnal Sea Gaz.

2)What revisions are you planning with Captain Pieter van Riese?

Considering the popularity of all the age of sail/colonialist domains out there, it would seem to me he has a lot of potential. On the other hand, he didn't really do that much to deserve becoming a darklord. He was almost more incompetent than he was evil, driving his crew to their deaths by accident (even if he was obsessed/consumed with dark desire) and then making a desperate plea for help to dark powers in a time when he wasn't thinking straight. I think if one looks at the sordid history/legends of Christopher Columbus and other explorers of the age, one could find a lot of promising inspiration to make Van Riese more worthy of being a darklord.

No plans to do so at this time.

That would be a spoiler.... suffice to say, we hope he will turn out sufficiently cruel and unredeemable.

I'm not familiar with this one, and a search of the forum didn't turn anything up. Dominia is DeepShadow's baby. Did you send it straight to him?

It's been a while... I do recall talking it over with a member of the creative team back then, but I'm no longer sure who it was.
