Geas

Post by Bloody Morgan »

Hey all,

Was taking a nosey through the FoS Dragon/Dungeon reviews, when I spotted this:
Dragon#210 (October 1994) - Geas: the Vistani Card Game
Author: William W Connors (5 pages)

Content: the Geas card game, for 3, 4 or 5players

Comment: The rules of a new card game, 'Geas', using the vistani tarokka, where the goal is to finish 'quests' (and where you can 'attack' other player's deck). Funny game.
I'd heard of it before, but unfortunatly never managed to find out any more about it than "it exists". Does anyone know if it was fun to play, or where a copy of the rules could be found these days?

Thanks,
Bloody Morgan

If you can find it there was a CD set WOTC released with all the dragon issues up to #250 as PDFs.

If I can find my copy I will see what i can do about posting the rules.

Ok I found my copy and I will post the rules here if the Admins allow it. If not I will have to find another way to get them to you.

So what was the verdict? I found my copy of Dragon #210 also.
I only wish I had retired sooner!

I managed to turn up a copy in the end - thanks though Jim. Plan to work it into the Vistani session in my next game.

Geas always reminded me of the joke by Steven Wright:

"Last night I played poker with a tarot deck. I got a full house and four people died."
The Avariel has borrowed wings,
The Puppeteer must cut the strings
The Orphan Queen must take the throne
The Queen of Orphans calls them home
