Online game needing players, and a question.

Post by taintedsoul »

Hi, this is my first post here, so bear with me. I hope I am not breaking any rules, if so I appologize, but this seemed to be the most appropriate place to post this.

I am currently looking for new players for the restart of a PBeM. It is a Ravenloft game set in a new cluster floating in the mists. It is a game for adults and by adults, and due to possible content and themes it is definately NOT for adults.

Here is the link and a teaser:

The wind swept through the cold, quiet woods, rustling the leaves.
Somewhere above clouds shrouded a half full moon. But beneath the
trees no light filtered down, and the night was as pitch black as a
demon's soul.

The night was filled with the green scent of the forest. Leaves and
flowers fragranced the night.

P'tori walked with the others of the party in silence. They were
being watched. He could feel the eyes on him like a hot breath on
the back of his neck. He stopped every so often listening. The
others had fallen back, letting those with superior night vision
scout the way.

The air fell suddenly still, as though the forest was holding its
breath. The scent came mild but unmistakable. It was the scent of
fresh death. Not like the stink of the zombies he had fought
earlier, no this was the subtle tang of new rot with the sticky
scent of spilled blood.

As suddenly as it had stopped the wind picked up, parting the tree
branches and clearing the clouds to reveal the bodies. They had been
crucified, nailed to a trio of trees and disembowled.

It was almost ritualistic the way their innards were scattered, laid
out in a careful circle and a triangle inside it, with each tree
acting as a point. The blood had been collected in a bowl and set on
a stone at the center which must have served as a makeshift altar.

The bodies faced inward, toward the altar, as though their
executioner wanted them to witness what their sacrifice wrought. As
P'tori stepped into the circle he could feel the tingle of magic,
like the electricity the filled the air before a lightning strike.

"We should at least free these poor souls, and give them a proper
burial," he said to his companion(s) as he stepped up to one of the
trees.

As he reached out, the head of the victim snapped up fixing him with
empty eye sockets. The mouth opened and the creature groaned...

The setting is also a test play for some new domains I want to introduce, ones I have been working on for quite some time (Since 2nd ed.)

Also I have some Ravenloft projects idling that I would like some eventual feed back on, where would I post those ideas?

Good of you to post. I hope some people join your game (I would but I'm very busy at the moment). If you wish to post about Ravenloft projects why not try the Community Projects section of this board. It's set up for people who either want to start a project with a group or simply keep people appraised of their own projects and to request feedback. So I would recommend it as an answer to your question.

New domains are always tricky to write completely. However original domains are also usually in high demand. If you want them to be used in the Ravenloft fan magazine check out the 'Quoth the Raven' series which publishes in PDF submissions from people all over the world who all want to expand Ravenloft and Masque of the Red Death through their works.

Hope this helps you out.
